A scientific approach

PBscience was founded within the Sport and Exercise Science department of the University of Brighton in 2008. Sport Science at Brighton has a rich history, being the second UK institution to deliver courses in sport related education and much experience in delivering support to athletes.
With its rapid growth, PBscience has now become an independent coaching service, yet has maintained its links with the University: critical for ensuring the coaching staff keep their knowledge up to date. However, having all experienced competition in sport, we also know there is a science AND art to coaching – we feel we are able to give both aspects to you in our service. That’s why our packages also allow you to contact sport scientists directly – we believe the human touch is imperative to coaching.
The development of the PBscience mobile laboratory means that we can conduct all our own exercise testing, allowing us to get to know the athlete in depth, and ensuring all our training plans are fully tailored to the individual.
The PBscience team
All the PBscience team are sport scientists with experience in competition, a rare combination that enables delivery of the right answers to the appropriate questions across training, performance and nutrition.
