Post-season workshop 2010

The post-season workshop this year (Saturday 13th November) will copy the successful format we employed for the Spring workshop - with a morning training ride followed by an afternoon of presentations from the PBscience team. The location will be the David Lloyd Club in Eastbourne. This workshop is a chance to enjoy a social ride with other PBscience athletes as well as taking on board some useful information that will help your winter training.

Accommodation at the club is also available at a special rate for PBscience athletes:

£40.00 single or £60.00 twin per night. Bed & breakfast plus full use of all the facilities is included. Please email Fiona at the David Lloyd club to book (mentioning PBscience)

Objectives of the day:

  • To met socially with other riders, and a chance to ride in different scenery
  • To introduce 3 concepts to help you maximise your winter's training

Provisional timetable:

9:00am Meet in the David Lloyd Club car park
9:30am Group ride ~45 miles (depending on numbers, we will split into two groups)
12:45pm Lunch (in the David Lloyd Club bar, included in workshop price)
1:30pm Approaches to periodisation - Dan will explain the latest thoughts on how an athlete and coach might breakdown the training year
2:30pm Resonance - guest speaker, Louise Broda talks us through how living a training life in alignment with personal beliefs and values is vital
3:30pm Coffee break
3:50pm Tips to maximise your winter's training - Helen goes through her list of top tips to make sure each pedal stroke counts this winter
4:30pm Q&A
5:00pm Close of the workshop
